Joint project between University of Sydney, Qld Museum, MADASSIA Inc and Burdekin ASSI association Inc

Dividing into 3 main time periods - early plantation, barracks-style living, and post deportation. By working with the community to identify sites of significance to the community. There is no intention of digging anywhere like graves or cemetery but there might be some cultural mapping done if the community feels places are important.
